Ended up in market research through a series of coincidences and has enjoyed it ever since. One of the founding fathers of the company, he established Simply5 after several years of team leading at a large research agency. Jan focuses on strategic research, consultancy, regional projects and branded products development.
Has a degree in English and film studies. He loves Britain, Ireland and America and originally wanted to be a translator. He enjoys challenging projects. He likes to spend his free time gardening and is also a born and certified shipmaster.
Loves listening to what people say and thinking about what's behind the words. That's what he's been doing for 15 years in qualitative research and a bit longer in psychotherapy. He has a degree in engineering and psychology, so we've decided to reward him by making him our CEO.
Having spent ten years doing research for AISA he co-founded Simply5 where he has fun thinking about and solving interesting problems. Having set up a family he learned when to lead and when to follow and tries to put the experience to use in his expert role.
An economist and engineer with a biker’s soul. He believes in specialization. He specialises in projects concerning technologies, health and food. When not working, he takes his motorbike for a ride, listens to vinyl music or takes photos with his SLR camera.
“Why” has been her favourite word since early childhood, nevertheless she only started doing research at the age of 40 after she had spent more than ten years working in marketing of FMCG and pharmaceutical companies. She decided on a career change and started working for Simply5. When not working she loves to travel, read and enjoy culture.
Jana comes from Krkonoše and studied economics. It was qualitative research that made her move to Prague. She likes to listen to the stories of the respondents. Britain is close to her heart and she loves learning foreign languages - in addition to English, she can speak French and Spanish. She has also been learning Chinese for several years and hopes to move up from the beginner level one day.
Has a degree in sociology. She loves probing and discovering what is behind our (not just consumers’) views and behaviour. She loves good food, peace and quiet, unusual places, and home distilled slivovitz. She finds it hard to survive without coffee.
Graduated in political science and international relations. She moved from nation-states to people. What she enjoys most is listening, observing, reflecting and drawing meaningful conclusions. Her favourite pastime is reading and she reads everything except train timetables.
Has long term experience with qualitative research and various types of projects. He finds motivation in the diversity of working with information and understanding different viewpoints when approaching a theme or a problem. He has a background in philosophy and English philology.
Graduated in sociology in Brno focusing on urban planning and development as well as city branding. She was drawn to Prague by Simply5 making a logical step away from the academia towards applied research. She loves foreign languages; besides English and German she hasn't given up on her dream of becoming fluent in Italian.
Cultural anthropologist interested in inter-species ethnography (!). She is curious and passionate about seeking links between seemingly disparate things. At Simply5 she likes focusing on projects requiring ethnographic powers of observation and those which have a broader cultural and social dimension.
Has been blown by the fresh winds from the High Tatras to Prague. We are so happy to have her over here. Involved in recruitment she makes sure that we talk to the right people, and also that those people arrive in time and leave with appropriate reward. She enjoys doing meaningful work in a team of people who get along well with each other. She spends her free time reading or watching Scandi Noir crime series.
Focused on business administration at school, Romana loves varied and interesting activities and that is why she supports our accountant and recruitment department where you never get bored. She loves good films, soap operas, music, time spent with her family, and generally time spent with nice people - she's found lots of those at Simply5!
Loves working with people and is a wine connoisseur. Niki has taken on the apparently thankless task of running our recruitment department. She has turned a daunting task into a simple one in just a few months. She never gets bogged down by detail and is in good spirits all year round.
Having worked for an auditing company she has taken on Simply5. She looks after our bookkeeping, our records, and teaches yoga. She loves board games, sudoku, and law. She enjoys hillwalking, reading, photography, sewing and is choosy about coffee.
Takes care of everything on the web and on discs. He speaks the language of our servers and firewalls. If it were not for Christmas parties or Tuesday mornings, we might think that he lives in a virtual world. When we really need him he turns up and asks: “And have you tried…?”
